Well, I would've wrote this blog yesterday but... I wasn't able to because I was so tired.
Here's what happened over the weekend... I went to London, KY on Saturday. Then I went to Richmond, KY on Sunday... therefore, I never got to stay home that much.
Then when I did try to take a nap, it was very short. So yea... not much rest at all over the weekend.
Now, you are wondering why I add KY at the end of the places I went to...
It has come to my attention that a few people doesn't know where Kentucky is. Kentucky is the 15th state that came to be known in the United States... with Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee surrounded it. Kentucky is consider southern because of the location. I saw a meme about our state and it made me chuckle... let me see if I can go find it.
This is the meme. As you can see... there's the hat, head, shirt, panes, books, a pan with Kentucky Fried Chicken on top! That's Kentucky, y'all!
But really, Kentucky has an interesting history. Here's a link for those who wishes to learn more about Kentucky: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kentucky
I am born and raised here... there are things that I hate and there are things that I love.
Things I love about Kentucky:
1. Bluegrass Music: This is music that is nothing like country... it's folk and music that came from the Bluegrass state... er... Kentucky. Notable people who sing bluegrass: Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Loretta Lynn (more country tho), Grandpa Jones and many more. There are notable country stars from here too: Billy Ray Cyrus, Montgomery Gentry, John Michael Montgomery and many more.

I really love this place as it's peaceful and quiet. The sound of waterfalls can make your day anytime. Plus, there's places you can hike through and see the falls in a different view. If you ever visit Kentucky, come here. You will not regret it.
3. Festivals: There are loads of them when summer and fall comes. You can pay or go to ones that are free. The ones I really enjoy going to are Spoonbread Festival and World Chicken Festival.

Now for what I hate and these will be without pictures just because...
1. Politics: Oh, boy... I have a long story about this and decided to leave this out. This includes small town politics too. I never told anybody but once upon a time, my brother was trying to run as a mayor but had to drop out because of the other side. Yes, that's a story to tell in another time.
2. Redneck wannabes: I hate to say this but there are so many redneck wannabes in this place. They think they have to have loud trucks with big wheels and they call themselves rednecks. These goes for the ones who flies that flag too... I don't want to mention this flag because people are in denial of what the meaning of the flag means.
3. Sports: We have a big... no... huge problem with people and sports. I hate sports, especially football! I see it everywhere. While I love the colors of our team for the state, I hate how passionate some people can be for this. Local sports is even worse. Oh, not to mention horse racing. Read more about Church Hill Downs if you want to know more.
I'm sure there's more to list in the hate... but you know... I ignore these hates because I know it's just something that you can't help.
But I tell you one thing... I love my heritage on my mom's side of the family. It's full of mystery and storytellers. My grandpa was one of them.
So... that's what Kentucky is. Hey, if you have questions about Kentucky, you are welcome to leave a comment or send me a message via Alastabdk on all my social medias.
Hope y'all enjoy reading this!
