Ways To Stay Calm

I'm sure everybody has their own way to keep calm or stay calm. I have been through a lot of situations where I did had to stay calm... believe me, it's not fun.

I do panic sometimes still. So I have to learn to keep calm.

Here are my own steps on how to stay calm.

1. Write: I feel like we need to sit down and write what is on our mind all the time. It's perfect for trying to stay calm, especially if you had a bad day. I've recently learned that you could always do a rant journal or a rage journal... write everything down that makes you mad. It's a perfect idea to stay calm, right? It keeps you from going on social media and stuff. Other pieces to write about: Mental health, stories, poems, gratitude and so much more. Anything to stay calm, right?

2. Read A Book: I feel like this is self explanatory. Reading sometimes has this calming effect on people. Sometimes, you just have to sit alone and read a nice book in peace. I know that I find reading a book keeps my mind on the book. So be sure to find a book that doesn't make you panic over what happens next, haha.

3. Listen to Music: I find this to be a calming effect. You would want to listen to chill music or nature type of music. The best type of music is listen to voices that has calming effect to you. Enya is one of those voices. And there are many more. Just search for some and figure out what calms you down. Even the sound of falling rain has a way to calm you down.

4. Take a Walk: If you live in a peaceful neighborhood or near a nature park, go there and take a walk. Take as long as you want as this would calm you down. In fact, when you do take a walk, try to let go and listen to the sounds around you. This has a calming effect on your mind.

5. Watch Funny Videos: And believe me, you deserve to laugh every once a while. It's good medicine for your mental health. Just sit around and find funny videos. Watch funny pet ones. Funny kids. Funny news mistakes and many more. There are so much to offer on funny videos so go at it and have a laugh. And share it to others to show how this made you calm down.

6. Do Something Stress-Relieving: This goes for anything like puzzles, coloring books, stress balls, fidget spinners, and many more. Anything that gives you that movement with your hand and concentrate on that item. I find that having something in my hand actually does calm me down sometimes. It could be an object that has a smooth service that you feel a calming effect from.

7. Meditate: This isn't for everybody, believe me, I know sometimes that it doesn't work. But it could work on you. All you need is a place that is quiet or with peaceful sounds of nature. Then you meditate. It helps to keep your mind at ease and away from anything that stresses you out. Yes, it can calm you down if it works for you.

 10. Spending Time With Pets: Your pet is perfect to have around for when you need to calm down. I can tell you from experience that it's worth it. A cuddle, a petting, anything can help you feel better after spending time with your pet.

I do hope these can help you for when you need stay calm. I'm sure there are many more ways to help you stay calm so don't hesitate to go online and search for ideas.

I hope you enjoy this different approach of my blog. I will not be doing these everyday as I am going to set up a schedule on my computer's calendar on when I can write and more.

See you all again when I can.

That's all.

With love,

BDK
