What I'm Looking Forward to 2023: New Year's Resolutions

As I always do every year, I am going to make this as a list by numbers and the reason behind it.

Now even though I am using numbers, there is no order in which these are gonna happen as my motto is that I got all year to start these or I've already started these now.

  1. My Health: My main reasoning behind why this is a resolution is because I know that I am getting older and I really need to make sure I stay alive (no bun intended there). I've know all my life that there's something always happening. From the time I was born till I was hit by a car... accidents happened but things do matter to me more than anything. So for 2023, I am focusing on my health most of the time.
  2. Be Creative: I want to pursude more creative outlets like: drawing, writing, painting and so much more. I feel like I am always a creative person in some form or another.
  3. Read More: I have so many books on my TBR and from where I bought them. I only did this because I felt like I would miss out if I didn't. Especially with how the world is right now. My goal is a book each week. Let's hope I'll do this for real now.
  4. Continue to Watch TV Shows, Movies, Anime And More: I do mean this. I seem like I am really behind on a lot of stuff and I seem to find a distraction with my phone. So with this idea, I want to be able to watch something at least more than once a week.
  5. Have Better Time Management: And you wonder why I mention that when I want to read more, be creative and watch more stuff... here's the thing, I wanna be able to have a set schedule to do all of this. I don't want to be doing things every single day over and over only to be burnt out. So I want to manage all those hobbies in a better way.
  6. Play Games More Often: The only time I seem to play games when I have no shows to watch. So I wanna be sure to play games more often by set schedule for this. I am going to start posting these game plays on YouTube too. So keep an eye out for that.
  7. Try to Save Money: I am already trying to this. I feel like I am going through FOMO sometimes. I want to try to change that mood through this year and just only use money on things that are for me.
  8. Enjoy the Little Things: I think I try to do this everyday when I am on VRChat. But I wanna move it to the real world as well. It'll be hard as there's no much around here. But I really hope that I find joy in the little things that comes to my life.
  9. Complete My Hobby Journals: I have several of them... in fact, I think there's about 5 of them? Each in something that I am interested in. I just want to be able to complete the whole journal within a year and not skip a month.
  10. Find What Inspires Me: Again, this is already happening through VRChat. I do a thing on there called World Hopping and take pictures in worlds that are beautiful or inspiring. I wish to continue this through 2023. Besides it's like another home to me.
  11. Be More Free: This will be hard since if you all know my situation in the real world, you'll know why. I can understand why it happens but sometimes I need my own freedom.
  12. Be Myself: I'm okay with changing myself but only if it's for me. I want to show myself more to the world so people know that I am a good person.
  13. Be Happy: I have decided that I am okay with being single. I have been single for a long time now and well, I learned that I don't really need anybody. I don't want people to come at me asking me why I am single though. That's just because I am happy with the way I am. There's no ifs or buts on this subject.
  14. Work More on My Blog and My Wattpad: I have put these together as the ending because it's something that I want to continue on doing for 2023. I hope that from what I learned from being Creative Writing classes that I can use them towards writing more often. I have made a page exclusively to all things writing. I am going to move all reviews and more to this blog. Sure there will be moments that I will post personal things on here, but I'll leave those to when it comes time.
Alright, that's all of them. I know the list seems long but I made sure to only include those that seems reachable. There was a lesson I've learned about making things unreachable so yea. I wanna be able to do things that seems reasonable in my opinion.

Well, what do you think? You are more than welcome to leave a comment on here if you wish to know anything or if you have a suggestion for anything.

Until Then.

Places I've Been... To Bucket List of Places I Want To Go

Sometimes, I just sit around and think about all the places that I already have been to and just want to go back one day. However, there are places that I do dream about going to one day... so I will be doing a bucket list along with the places I have already been.

Before, I do start, please be prepare for a long post because I am going to try my best to sort all of the places by continent (North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Europe, and Africa mostly).

I will start with the places that I already been to. Now I will try my very best to remember them all but I am sure 100% that this is not all of the places I've been to. There is no order in these places and I may only add pictures to my favorite places.

Places I've been to:

Virginia Beach. VA:

I have only been here for a few hours and it took my dad over 24 hours to get here. If you ride with my dad, you would know he drives slow. This was the only time I ever see the ocean. At this time, it wasn't as crowded like the picture, but it became my favorite place and more so than ever, I wish to come back here to spend more than a day to explore all of Virginia Beach and what it has to offer.

Nashville, TN:

I only been to the outskirts of this city, but never really within the city. Something that I always wanted to do is go back and explore the city a bit more. It's not fun when you never get to see anything, but just a trip there and back, only to end up in disappointment. I really love to go back to this place just to see what makes this place... Music City.

Cincinnati, OH:

This is not exactly my favorite place, so there's no sense on adding a photo to this place. However, I did enjoy going here once to see a Broadway show called Phantom of the Opera. (If you haven't seen this Broadway show or movie, I highly suggested it. It's really good.) But, I did noticed a few things when I did go there... there's always something you never expect. I would like to back here one day and explore more of the city.

 Lexington, KY:
I only been here a couple of times in my life as a full blown trip. Other times, it was usually for doctor appointments or having to go to the hospital there. Famous for horse parks and UK Wildcats, this is a place I would love to go back to and just explore around this city again.

Then there's all these other places that I have been to, but really want to go back again one day.

  • Frankfort, KY
  •  Harrodsburg Fort
  • Boonesborough Fort
  • Cumberland Falls
  • Nature Bridge
  • Russell Springs, KY
  • Wolf Creek Dam with Cumberland River,
  • Tunnel down on Cumberland Gap,
  • Corbin, KY
  • Barbourville, KY
  • Knoxville, TN
  • Pine Mountain

There are so many places I really want to go to one of these days... and those places are listed below.

  • New York City
  • Myrtle Beach
  • Orlando
  • Montana
  • California
  • Seattle
  • Portland
  • Anywhere Canada
  • Anywhere Mexico
  • Puerto Rico
  • Hawaii
  • Alaska
  • Ireland
  • Scotland
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Norway
  • United Kingdom
  • Switzerland
  • Iceland
  • Sweden
  • Italy
  • France
  • China
  • South Korea
  • Japan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
  • Indonesia
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

Now I would go into detail about why I want to go to these places, but right now, I just want to point out my favorite places that I have been to.

The places I want to go to one day will be part of my bucket lists for a long time. I just hope that one day, these will be achievable. Well... as long as I work hard at it!

Next time, I will go into detail about some more of these places. Until then... see ya in the next blog.

A Romance That You Must Protect - A Review of The Poison Season by Mara Rutherford

I realized that it has been a long time since I last posted.

So I already done the review for a book, all I had to do was copy it xD.

Alright, let's get on with the book and the review.

The Poison Season by Mara Rutherford          Rate: 5 stars

Review:

Normally, I don't give a book a complete 5 star, but this one begs to differ... as the whole story made you want to sit on your edge, wanting more.

Endla, an island on a lake that is poisonous and a forest that wanders about until it found these magical people.

Leelo, the main character of this book knew from the start that she didn't liked how things are in Endla. She wanted a change but she knew if anything, the forest would try to do something to her or worse.

Her younger brother who is not a magical person has to leave the island or else, he would be in danger.

No outsider is ever allow on this island until one day. This starts on a line of hidden secrets and much more that Leelo soon realized that maybe this island isn't what she really thinks it is.

Overall, I really enjoyed this whole book. I took my time and finishing it up just 2 weeks later. I was constantly thinking about what is going to happen next. What secret is going to come out. Will Leelo be alright?

The author has done a good job with the book and I really enjoy it a lot.

Also, thank you bookishfirst.com for this book.

Kentucky is more than you think

Well, I would've wrote this blog yesterday but... I wasn't able to because I was so tired.

Here's what happened over the weekend... I went to London, KY on Saturday. Then I went to Richmond, KY on Sunday... therefore, I never got to stay home that much.

Then when I did try to take a nap, it was very short. So yea... not much rest at all over the weekend.

Now, you are wondering why I add KY at the end of the places I went to...

It has come to my attention that a few people doesn't know where Kentucky is. Kentucky is the 15th state that came to be known in the United States... with Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee surrounded it.  Kentucky is consider southern because of the location. I saw a meme about our state and it made me chuckle... let me see if I can go find it.

This is the meme. As you can see... there's the hat, head, shirt, panes, books, a pan with Kentucky Fried Chicken on top! That's Kentucky, y'all!

But really, Kentucky has an interesting history. Here's a link for those who wishes to learn more about Kentucky: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kentucky

I am born and raised here... there are things that I hate and there are things that I love.

Things I love about Kentucky:

1. Bluegrass Music: This is music that is nothing like country... it's folk and music that came from the Bluegrass state... er... Kentucky. Notable people who sing bluegrass: Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Loretta Lynn (more country tho), Grandpa Jones and many more. There are notable country stars from here too: Billy Ray Cyrus, Montgomery Gentry, John Michael Montgomery and many more.

2. Nature: Kentucky is known for the bluegrass and it's flowers. But they are known for having the best parks in nature ever. My favorite places are Natural Bridge and Cumberland Falls.

Cumberland Falls State Park

I really love this place as it's peaceful and quiet. The sound of waterfalls can make your day anytime. Plus, there's places you can hike through and see the falls in a different view. If you ever visit Kentucky, come here. You will not regret it.

3. Festivals: There are loads of them when summer and fall comes. You can pay or go to ones that are free. The ones I really enjoy going to are Spoonbread Festival and World Chicken Festival.

Located in London, KY
This festival brings in over 2 million people each year, except during Covid in 2020. However, since it's return, it's a slow return... which I haven't been in years. However, I love how this festival is literally a celebration for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Colonial Sanders. Now, Colonial Sanders started his business in Corbin... they moved the festival to London because of the size.

Now for what I hate and these will be without pictures just because...

1. Politics: Oh, boy... I have a long story about this and decided to leave this out. This includes small town politics too. I never told anybody but once upon a time, my brother was trying to run as a mayor but had to drop out because of the other side. Yes, that's a story to tell in another time.

2. Redneck wannabes: I hate to say this but there are so many redneck wannabes in this place. They think they have to have loud trucks with big wheels and they call themselves rednecks. These goes for the ones who flies that flag too... I don't want to mention this flag because people are in denial of what the meaning of the flag means.

3. Sports: We have a big... no... huge problem with people and sports. I hate sports, especially football! I see it everywhere. While I love the colors of our team for the state, I hate how passionate some people can be for this. Local sports is even worse. Oh, not to mention horse racing. Read more about Church Hill Downs if you want to know more.

I'm sure there's more to list in the hate... but you know... I ignore these hates because I know it's just something that you can't help.

But I tell you one thing... I love my heritage on my mom's side of the family. It's full of mystery and storytellers. My grandpa was one of them.

So... that's what Kentucky is. Hey, if you have questions about Kentucky, you are welcome to leave a comment or send me a message via Alastabdk on all my social medias.

Hope y'all enjoy reading this!

A Review And More of Rapima on Telegram

Hello! Today is another blog day!

I'm going to be doing a review for a bot that my best friend is working on and wants me to share to you all! Of course, I'm doing this for free and I just want to help them!

First, you must have telegram which you can download it on phones and desktops so it's really handy to have! Website is here: https://telegram.org/

Now let's get on with more info about the person behind the bot.

Company name: Wasistech Solutions.
Name They Go By: Raikenjo,
Assistant name: RAPIMA, (Raikenjo's Aiding Pragmatic and Intelligent Maid Assistant)

Link here for the bot: https://t.me/rapimabot

Now, I will be showing both screenshots and videos through out the blog to talk about this bot!

Let's start with the about section of the bot. They are cute, right? I'll show a bigger picture of the bot/ maid in a moment. As you can tell, I've been using it a lot by the amount of photos, links, etc that's listed there (oops). But it shows her information and her uses. The picture is clickable (shown below).

Now let's start with the real part of the bot.

For the sake of the blog, I've deleted my chat history so that you can have a better understanding of what comes next.

When you add the bot, if it doesn't come up automatically, please type /start as you can see what is shown in the screen shot why. It's important to make sure that you are subscribed to the bot so you can be able to use the options. Down below is the options that you can use. I will do both screenshots and videos of each of the options under menu while the last two will be only screenshots.

My suggestion... start with about me so you can figure out what to do next.

This is the screenshot of the about us menu.

You can see in the screenshot there are options that you can check out.

Feedback: For when you want to give your feedback to the bot.
Contact: For when you wish to contact the owner.
How to Use: Check this out if you want to see how to use the bot. Yes, there is a file, but please do take a look at it.
Donate: For if you wish to support the owner.

But why did I suggest to come here first? Well, it's important to know what to expect for what is coming next. I will share a short video of each of these options so you can see what I mean by each of them.

Now let's continue on with the main part... this is the menu.

I will continue on with the fact, this one is going to be a bit different than your average bot.

Before I share another screenshot, I want to point out this will have two languages at the same time. English and Indonesian.

As you can see, this is part of the world Ergardia. Don't let that turn you away! This is actually something easier to get into what's available on the bot.

Here. there are shops, commissions, help area, and many more. Just check it out! I will post a video showing all these options and then explain them the best way I can. I'm not much a talker so I will just use my mouse to point out each short video while the captions will explain what is going on. I will share close ups of the screenshots as well. This is the biggest part of the bot so hoping that you are staying with me!

Alright, we are going to mosey our way into the first option... which is the Public District!

What is here, you might say? Let's think of it like this... a small town where everything is available to you!

This is where you find the shops, commissions and even an e-class! I really like this ideology as it's convenient to know what to look for and many more.

I will do a non-commentary of each option so be ready for a lot of videos!

Let's go to the Receptionist!

To the Shopping Center!

The Art Commission!

ETC Commissions!

E-Class!

Now, I know that's a lot of a videos to watch! I just wanted to show what's all included one by one. All the music you heard is royalty free so no worries on this! I find this very fun to go through! I will tell you all about what's next which just takes about two or three screenshots, haha. Maybe a short video as well, sorry, I had to.

This is the help area! This place has all you need if you need help with something.

My opinion... I really like this area as you could always need something to help with. I will show a short video of each thing that can help you.

Then after the video, I will explain some stuff there.

Ask the universe: When you want to get your fortunes or answers to something you have on mind. Just ask a question and don't be afraid to do so.
Tips and Troubleshooter: Helpful tips on anything. It's like a need to know something type of thing.
Rant and Share: Share whatever is bothering you or anything that you want. The owner sometimes will come on and tell you what you could do... it's something I use often so it can be helpful. Ranting about a bad day and you feel better.

The next area is called Chilling Area. This is pretty much self-explanatory.

There are two options here. Chill and Relax and Good Night.

I don't have to do a video for this one as they are videos recommendations to help you relax, chill and sleep.

Finally, we are back to the main menu... you noticed where it says Rapima's Thoughts?

This is the bot's thoughts. Believe me... they can say almost everything! I use it all the time to pass the time. (Sorry!)

I am not sure if I am a good reviewer but I did go over stuff... and well, here's what I think. I love how it's multilingual! I'm sure they will add more stuff in Indonesian soon but I don't mind as long as it's easy to translate. I find it fun to use when I need something to do. I like the examples the owner has given the bot. If you don't mind, check it out yourself! This bot won't bite you! (I hope not...) As for the other stuff, it's all completely safe! I know because I am a follower of the bot! And maybe I shouldn't keep saying bot... because Rapima might get a bit weirded out being called a bot, haha... But it's alright, this is for a review and more. I'm sure Rapima will understand!

Let's let Rapima have her last words...

Well, there you go!
